A New Kind of Mermaid

I was thinking about how a person's structure would evolve if they adapted over generations to live underwater. This is what I came up with. They have flattened noses because you don't need to smell underwater, and their bodies are very smooth. They have webbed hands to help them swim, and since they were human before, their tails have a split in them, which turn into a sort of leg after they reach maturity, so they can reproduce.
